"Expect to come and be taken away for a couple hours," Buble said about his live show. "I really, sincerely love what I do for a living. The fact that I get to do this and do what I love with these people … They're gonna see that right away. The production is going to be extravagant in some places, but very intimate in others. I think you'll get a great beginning, middle and end. There will be parts that are bombastic. It's now, obviously, an arena show. It's a rock show. There will be parts that should be quiet and intimate and small. I'm hoping that people enjoy the trip. I know I'm going to enjoy taking them on it."

Come March, Buble will head out on tour in support of his recent top-selling album, "Crazy Love," which is his first release in two and a half years. It follows his previous No. 1 set, "Call Me Irresponsible."

Calling from Argentina--where he was spending time with fiancee Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre, who stars in his video "Haven't Met You Yet"--Buble spoke to LiveDaily about his "family," the concept behind "Crazy Love" and his betrothed.

LiveDaily: Congratulations on your engagement.

Michael Buble: Thank you very much. I'm pleased she asked. Finally, a big enough dowry was offered. I got cattle. I got some land. [Laughs]

You got quite the good deal.

[Laughs] Yeah.

You must be looking forward to your tour.

I am really looking forward to it. It's been a long time. I've been off the road for a long time. I can't wait to reconnect with my family.

Do you consider your fans your family?

I consider my fans part of my family. I consider my crew and my band part of my extended family. Absolutely. It's going to be nice to get home.

What are you looking forward to the most?

Honest to God, just getting to connect with everybody again. As an entertainer, you get to connect on this conscious level with so many people. It's a huge gift as a human being to be that conscious and that aware in a moment like that, get to do what you love so much and share it with those people. It's something I'm blessed to be able to do.

You must have been flattered that the demand was such that they had to release your album several days early.

Yeah, definitely, I was excited. It's funny, because, through this whole thing, people will tell you the business is going through a change and it's going through a tough time. I truly believe that people still want music as much as they ever did. The business is just in transition, that's all. People are still buying music. They might buy it in a different way, but it's the fabric of our life. I felt I had a great record and a great concept. I believed in it fully. When I talked to the president of the label in meetings before it was released, they told me not to expect as much as I had on the last record. I told them, realistically, I expected to do more. I'm glad I was right.

Yes, you were right. You spent two weeks at No. 1 in the United States.

Yeah, it's the fastest-selling record I've had. It was out Oct. 16 and worldwide it's at about 4.2 [million]. People say, "Oh, it's the business." It's not that. Music still sells.

What was the concept behind the album?

I think the concept was emotional honesty, to be as honest as I could under the circumstances. To sort of show growth as an artist without alienating the 20 million people that have invested in me as an artist for seven years before. I worked with the greatest producers in the world. I worked with people like David Foster, Bob Rock and Humberto Gatica so that I could grow while not forgetting where I came from. It was important for me to be authentic and to make a record that felt as good as it sounded.

What does someone like Bob Rock bring to your music?.

Bob--I call him "The Dude" actually--he's a musicologist. He defies genres. Loves music, all kinds of music. He had a very easy way about him. He's like "The Dude" [Jeff Bridges' character from the film "The Big Lebowski."]. He never worries. He always knows it's going to be OK. He has a certain idea of how it's going to sound in the end. No matter how long it takes, he knows he's going to get there. He brought an organic feel to the record. There was a certain edginess without trying too hard.

Did you know that "Haven't Met You Yet" was going to be a hit when you wrote it?

Yes, I did. [Laughs] When it got down to it and we started to hear it back at the studio, I kept high fiving everybody: "We have a No. 1 hit. We have a No. 1 hit." Bob was very sweet; [he said] "OK, Michael. Just calm down. We're not there yet. Don't jinx it. Don't jinx it." I've always been like that. I've been somebody who believes in visualizing. If you believe hard enough, you can make it happen.

How do you choose which songs to cover or interpret?

With great difficulty. I think, first and foremost, I have to be passionately in love with the song. It's got to mean a hell of a lot to me. I hope to have a long career and, god willing, I'll be singing these songs for a long time. Number one, if I believe, then I can only guess my audience will believe with me. I choose songs that I love. I choose songs that allow me to be honest. The songs that I sing are something I would say. Even when I write, it's the same thing. I couldn't interpret a song that meant nothing to me. It would be a lie. I don't think my audience would buy it. People might. When it got down to it, I don't think people could put their finger on why they didn't get it. But, instinctually, they would just know.

Murray, a cardiologist caring for Jackson during preparation for his "This Is It" concert run, pleaded not guilty in a courtroom near Los Angeles International Airport, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The long-awaited charge in the superstar's June 25, 2009 death is the least serious homicide charge available to prosecutors. If convicted, Murray will face a maximum of four years in prison, compared to 11 years for voluntary manslaughter.

To convict on an involuntary manslaughter charge, prosecutors only have to prove that the death occurred during an "unlawful act not amounting to a felony" or during a lawful act performed "without due caution or circumspection," according to the Times. Prosecutors do not have to prove Murray acted with malice or intent.

The coroner's office, which previously said Jackson died from "acute propofol intoxication" in combination with the use of sedatives, released a full report on Monday (2/8) that described the level of anesthetic as enough to render a patient unconscious for major surgery.

Murray's bail was set at $75,000 and his lawyer told the media he is expected to resume seeing patients in Las Vegas later this week. The terms of his bail specifically forbids him from prescribing propofol or other heavy sedatives. The judge told Murray, "I don't want you sedating people."

In California, the attorney general has moved to revoke Murray's medical license while he awaits his trial, according to a Good Morning America report. Murray is expected to next appear in court in April.

The charge against Murray--and his "not guilty" plea--was met with very negative responses from Jackson's family. "He's lying. He's guilty. Nobody was there but him," Jackson's mother, Katherine, told the assembled media while leaving the courthouse. "He's just trying to save his own behind. … He killed him. He wasn't monitoring him."

The reactions from Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, and sister, La Toya Jackson, go one step further, alleging MJ was murdered and that Murray was part of a much larger plan.

"To me, he's just a fall guy," Joe Jackson told CNN's Larry King. "There's other people, I think, involved with this whole thing."

Joe Jackson said Michael told his mother that he feared he would be killed in the lead-up to his London shows. "He was afraid to even do all of these shows, because he was afraid that he wouldn't get a chance to finish all of the shows," Joe Jackson said. "Even his kids say that he had told them that he would be murdered."

When pressed by King to elaborate, the Jackson patriarch did not specify who might be involved, saying only that "someone" hired Murray.

La Toya Jackson, who has long held the belief that her brother was murdered, issued a statement later in the day that said she believes Murray was part of a much larger plan. "There are other individuals involved, and I will not rest and I will continue to fight until all of the proper individuals are brought forth and justice is served." As with her father, La Toya did not elaborate on her allegations and has not named any other suspected conspirators.

Police have not named any other suspects in Jackson's death.

Murray, a cardiologist caring for Jackson during preparation for his "This Is It" concert run, pleaded not guilty in a courtroom near Los Angeles International Airport, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The long-awaited charge in the superstar's June 25, 2009 death is the least serious homicide charge available to prosecutors. If convicted, Murray will face a maximum of four years in prison, compared to 11 years for voluntary manslaughter.

To convict on an involuntary manslaughter charge, prosecutors only have to prove that the death occurred during an "unlawful act not amounting to a felony" or during a lawful act performed "without due caution or circumspection," according to the Times. Prosecutors do not have to prove Murray acted with malice or intent.

The coroner's office, which previously said Jackson died from "acute propofol intoxication" in combination with the use of sedatives, released a full report on Monday (2/8) that described the level of anesthetic as enough to render a patient unconscious for major surgery.

Murray's bail was set at $75,000 and his lawyer told the media he is expected to resume seeing patients in Las Vegas later this week. The terms of his bail specifically forbids him from prescribing propofol or other heavy sedatives. The judge told Murray, "I don't want you sedating people."

In California, the attorney general has moved to revoke Murray's medical license while he awaits his trial, according to a Good Morning America report. Murray is expected to next appear in court in April.

The charge against Murray--and his "not guilty" plea--was met with very negative responses from Jackson's family. "He's lying. He's guilty. Nobody was there but him," Jackson's mother, Katherine, told the assembled media while leaving the courthouse. "He's just trying to save his own behind. … He killed him. He wasn't monitoring him."

The reactions from Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, and sister, La Toya Jackson, go one step further, alleging MJ was murdered and that Murray was part of a much larger plan.

"To me, he's just a fall guy," Joe Jackson told CNN's Larry King. "There's other people, I think, involved with this whole thing."

Joe Jackson said Michael told his mother that he feared he would be killed in the lead-up to his London shows. "He was afraid to even do all of these shows, because he was afraid that he wouldn't get a chance to finish all of the shows," Joe Jackson said. "Even his kids say that he had told them that he would be murdered."

When pressed by King to elaborate, the Jackson patriarch did not specify who might be involved, saying only that "someone" hired Murray.

La Toya Jackson, who has long held the belief that her brother was murdered, issued a statement later in the day that said she believes Murray was part of a much larger plan. "There are other individuals involved, and I will not rest and I will continue to fight until all of the proper individuals are brought forth and justice is served." As with her father, La Toya did not elaborate on her allegations and has not named any other suspected conspirators.

Police have not named any other suspects in Jackson's death.

The group will help the performer "green" the tour by using biodiesel fuels for transportation and providing biodegradable and recyclable products on the performer's tour bus and backstage areas, along with creating "Eco Villages" at each tour stop to provide public education about environmental issues.

"Thank Me Later," due in stores March 30, features production from Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Birdman, among others, and will be released on Wayne's Young Money label.

Drake--whose full name is Aubrey Drake Graham--began his acting career in 2001 by portraying the character of Jimmy Brooks on the long-running Canadian TV series "Degrassi: The Next Generation." His tenure on the show lasted eight years, ending in 2009 with his character's graduation.

In 2006, the performer began to shape his music career, releasing his first mixtape, "Room For Improvement," through his website and MySpace page. A second tape, "Comeback Season," caught the attention of Lil Wayne, who invited Drake to join him on tour.

The spring run begins April 9 in San Diego and crisscrosses the nation, stopping by clubs and theaters in 34 cities before wrapping up May 16 in Pomona, CA. Two Canadian performances are also on the books: April 26 in Toronto and April 27 in Montreal. The full itinerary is shown at right.

Born of Osiris, Sleeping Giant, Oceano and Legend will provide opening support on the outing.

Bleeding Through will unleash its sixth studio set, a self-titled album, April 13 on Rise Records. This record marks the group's first with guitarist Dave Nassive, who replaced former guitarist Jona Weinhofen last year.

The lead single from the collection, "Anti-Hero," is currently streaming at the band's MySpace page.

The Orange County metal outfit formed in 1999, releasing its first full-length album, "Dust to Ashes," in 2001. "Declaration," the group's most recent release, surfaced in 2008 and marks the band's third and final studio album on the Trustkill Records label.

In May, Lambert will host her third annual "Cause for the Paws" event, which raises money for the Humane Society of East Texas. The Tyler, TX, show will feature Lambert with her full band, as well special guests Nan Kelley, Whiskey Myers and Kacey Musgraves. Tickets for the May 15 event go on sale Wednesday (2/10.)

"I am a huge animal lover and many people know that this all sort of started when I adopted Delilah (my wired haired terrier mix) from the Humane Society of East Texas," Lambert explained in an interview with LiveDaily last summer. "I felt like I was at a place in my life where I could really help out that shelter so I decided to host Cause for the Paws."

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale, with prices ranging from $40 for single-day tickets to $90 for a three-day pass.

Lo-fi progenitors Pavement announced earlier this year that they would reunite for a world tour, including a full slate of European and Far East dates, along with an April 18 slot at Southern California's Coachella Festival. The comeback bid is intended to hold for this year only, and is "not a prelude to additional jaunts and/or a permanent reunion," according to the band's website.

The California group, which debuted with 1992's "Slanted and Enchanted," made its last live appearance in late 1999, formally breaking up the following year. A new 23-track compilation album, "Quarantine The Past: The Best Of Pavement," is due March 9 on the band's longtime label, Matador. The retrospective will be available in CD, double-vinyl LP and digital formats.

Now in its fifth year of existence, the Pitchfork Music Festival began in 2006, drawing an estimated 35,000 fans to Union Park for a two-day event that featured Spoon, Yo La Tengo, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, and The Futureheads.

The shows feature the new material, a few Clap Your Hands tunes and songs from Ounsworth's side projects Flashy Python and the Body Snatchers.

"In thinking about another record, the guys on the tour have the advantage of working together," he said from Louisiana. "Not to disrespect Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, but I don't think there's enough time for us to get our footing (for a new album). This band keeps getting better and the songs lend themselves to showing off what the individual musicians can do.

"I have had conversations in the past (with musicians) where I would push people to work harder on their parts and they didn't respond. There's a reason you remember which David Bowie albums feature Adrian Belew or Carlos Alomar and Robert Quine's work with Richard Hell and Lou Reed and Marc Ribot, regardless of who is playing with. I don't have any problem with guys making suggestions. ... When a musician works at defining a song it takes pressure off me.

"The personalities are pretty strong in this lineup. I get to lean on other people." Ounsworth's tour winds up Feb. 25 in Chicago. Details are shown at right.

The Rhode Island-based group, which is led by singer/songwriter John McCauley, kicks off the road trip March 5 in Los Angeles with an appearance as part of the LA County Natural History Museum's "First Friday" series of live performances and lectures. The band's first traditional show of the season follows March 13 in Cincinnati, OH, with additional dates following leading up to the group's April 18 appearance at Indio, CA's Coachella festival.

Deer Tick goes into support mode starting March 25 in San Francisco, interspersing headlining gigs into the remaining schedule as the band tags along on Dr. Dog's spring trek. The two outfits will wrap up the jaunt May 15 in New York City. Details are at right.

On the road, Deer Tick--which also includes Andrew Tobiassen (lead guitarist), Christopher Dale Ryan (bassist) and Dennis Ryan (drummer)--are supporting the outfit's latest album, "Born on Flag Day," which surfaced last June.

The album follows 2007's "War Elephant," which was originally released on tiny independent label Feow! Records, and re-released by slightly larger indie imprint Partisan in 2008.

The group started out as a McCauley solo project, with the singer performing solo and selling homemade CD-R copies of his songs at live gigs.

Cohen's physicians advised the artist to follow the typical regimen of four to six months physical therapy prescribed for athletes with similar injuries. "Doctors have confirmed that Mr. Cohen is otherwise in terrific shape, thanks to years of exercise and careful diet, and simply needs appropriate time to recover from the lower back injury," Cohen's manager said in a statement.

Partners in Health will receive $8 million to provide emergency medical assistance and supplies, strengthen the public health system, and provide rehabilitation, social support and economic assistance to survivors.

American Red Cross will receive $6 million to supply emergency shelter and non-food relief items to vulnerable families, specifically targeting female-headed households, the disabled, elderly, and the disadvantaged.

UNICEF will receive $6 million to coordinate the immediate protection of children, prevent and respond to family separations, support the psychosocial needs of families and children, and prevent child exploitation for trafficking.

United Nations World Food Programme will receive $6 million to ensure the distribution of meals and other life-saving food assistance to the most vulnerable earthquake victims in urban and rural areas over the next six months.

Yele Haiti Foundation will receive $1 million to promote community mobilization in major under-served neighborhoods to coordinate aid delivery and support recovery efforts.

One beneficiary, the newly formed Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, will request funds to go to recovery and rebuilding efforts in the next round of disbursements.

All partner organizations will report regularly to "HFHN" on how the funds are being used on the ground in Haiti. Through field reports and real-time updates, the impact of immediate assistance will be closely monitored and assessed each month before additional funds are distributed.

A spokesperson for Smile Jamaica told the Observer that the organization hopes to celebrate Marley's life next year, but for 2010, "there are some extenuating circumstances that just cannot be ignored and there's no way we could proceed with the concert bearing them in mind." The extenuating circumstances were not specified.

Event organizers, Ghetto Youth International, said efforts will be stepped up to make a 2011 staging possible.
